I am ranking for a competitor`s KW

So I am ranking for a competitor`s KW. (i.e- testosterone booster 500mg teststackrx) My question: If i keep on optimizing it though content? And then just suggest using our product or theirs around the keyword and have a comparison done, would that be beneficial to funnel them in to our product page?
