How long it takes before key words are recognised?

Hello everyone, Once I have added keywords to my site while trying to improve SEO, does any know how long it takes before key words are recognised? Also is there a way of checking to see what keywords are already on an existing site? Thank you,

  • Victoria Gitelshtein: 1. As far as I know, keywords themselves do not have weight for google seo nowadays. SEO is the procedure of many things. Relevant kewords supposed to be in description and title of every page. In menu and in content itself. Before all this there is supposed to be keywords or keyphrases checking (which words or phrases from your field people are looking for on web). 2. Anyway if you make some changes on site and you want Google "see" it, you should send sitemap.xml to google (its possible to do it via Google Search Console)
  • Aron Chorley: Do you have Google Search Console set up Paul? https://search.google.com/search-console/

If not, get it done. It`ll help you uncover insights as to how your site is performing, and also enable you to request Google to reindex your page once you`ve made the changes.
  • Paul Spinks: Aron Chorley thank you, how do I know if I have this set up? Sorry about the very stupid question (I’m an absolute beginner) I really appreciate the help from this group.
  • Aron Chorley: No worries. Click that link above and try logging in. If you don`t see a profile set up for your site, just add a new property and follow the steps to verify.
