As far as I know, you will need an active AdSense account as well as (1) a certain number of impressions per day, (2) a certain number of pages on the site, (3) images unique to the page on a large proportion of pages on the site, (4) Open Graph / schema.org mark-up. Matched content is available for sites with multiple pages and high volumes of traffic.

You can find out whether your site has been approved for Matched content by checking the "Site management" section in your AdSense account. (https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/6185995)

My site doesn't qualify: I'm currently using +Shareaholic ;which does a wonderful job, so even if it had qualified, I would not be switching over.
