Google gave me two different meta descriptions

I feel like I`ve come so far in 6 months with SEO, but ugh, so much to learn.I have a site that is two words in the domain: widgetstuff.com for example. When you search for "widgetstuff" it comes up fifth in rankings with proper meta description. When you search for "widget stuff" it comes up first in rankings but with a messy meta description slapped together by Google.Any recommendations?

  • Richard Hearne: What will your target users search for? Unless you expect them to type widgetstuff into Google, then you`re focusing in the wrong place. As to the messy META description - do you include the phrase "widget stuff" in your META description? It`s normal for Google to rewrite the snippet and NOT use your META description, and it frequently happens. But it indicates that Google feels your META description is not a good fit for the query used.
