Does searching someone`s name give popularity to any search results?

Does simply searching someone`s name give popularity to any search results? I was under the impression that searching alone does nothing but clicking on a result gives it popularity.?

  • Harry Dance: You are correct, just searching a result will not give popularity to the search results. ;
  • Aamir Siddiqui: Its actually depends upon the CTR- Click through rate to that specific term and how many clicks on your website when people search that term.
