  • Jim Munro: It`s hard to give evidence but if .co did have an influence, it is more like to be negative. It`s .co as in Colombia, not .co as in Company.

  • Jim Munro: Sometimes users form instant opinions and associations based on the domain and that in turn affects their click through rate and/or time on site. Generally .co domains are used by lowest-tier businesses (opinion). Spoiler alert: Some people will argue against this and everything else mentioned in this answer.
