Does anyone know of best practices for adding videos to a site?

Does anyone know of best practices for adding videos to a site (with respect to search engines recognizing its content and therefore improving SEO)?FWIW, it`s a Shopify site and the videos are hosted on YouTube and embedded on their respective pages. They`re also subtitled.

Kristine Schachinger: The most important thing is you have to have is video schema if you want Google to show them on the first page in the video section.

Tim August: Kristine Schachinger Thanks. Since the videos are hosted from my public YouTube business channel, I was assuming this was probably covered, but now I need to double check.
