Discussion: How Content Became the Currency of the Connected Economy

Content isn`t king, it is cash

Frequently people state that content is king. High quality content is king, especially after Panda. Before Panda some people suggested that you should write content based on keyword research. This led to content farms where people where writing content just because it would rank on search engines. Sure this is (and was) not really a good way to attract good/quality traffic and keyword research got a bad name. 

However recently I have been re-thinking keyword research. And through a conversation (HOA) between +Rob Wagner and +Rand Wilson I think that it can be a starting point to create content. For example a question that I have is "how can you connect your content to the targeted audience without doing some form of research on forehand?"   How Content Became the Currency of the Connected Economy
