Discovered but not indexed

I have a lot of "Discovered but not indexed" pages on my site. I compared them with the indexed ones and couldn`t pinpoint why they aren`t indexed. Is it common for over half of a site to not be indexed?

Richard Hearne: Group expert"Discovered but not indexed" can indicate quality issues. For some sites I work for, this label is sometimes applied to sections where there is thin content, and after a while of indexing lower quality pages Googlebot seems to decide that it doesn`t need more of this content. YMMV.> Is it common for over half of a site to not be indexed?Depends on who you speak to. In my experience, higher quality sites are unlikely to see this warning.
Juan Dalisay Jr.: Richard Hearne so far the unindexed pages seem to be those with ordinary words. The indexed ones have uncommon English words
