Am I thinking straight? What would you recommend?

Clients hosting server got bought out by another company that is headquartered in France. Their hosting server will also move to France. My thoughts would tell me to switch to a hosting server based in the US because client’s business only serves US customers. Am I thinking straight? What would you recommend?

  • Joe Coville: That’s really odd. There are a lot of companies that are owned by other countries but have servers in the states. You’d think they’d keep what they have in the US. I would recommend they go to something cloud based. Aws or something similar.
  • Cameron Taylor: Joe Coville I agree it’s odd. I will look into some alternatives
  • Zachary Toto: It`s silly if that`s your only reason for switching.
  • Pooya Dubash: Depends on the audience, if they are mainly from US then you should have a local server, it also adds value if your focus is local seo. Dedicated servers are now $10 a month on digital ocean and the likes.
  • Cameron Taylor: Pooya Dubash thanks for your input. Much appreciated
  • David Morgan: Use a CDN and you will not have to worry about anything.
