Adding 301 redirect

Hello to all :) I have a question:
If I add redirect 301 will my description change?
I have this description "Description of this result is not available because of robots.txt  this site"
and I would like to change it, the URL that is indexed is not exist anymore.

But the description is not changed even I added 301 redrect.

Thanks

  • Tony “Tiggerito” McCreath: The problem is that your robots.txt file has a line in it that tells Google bot they cannot look at the URL in question. If they cannot look at it then they cannot see that it redirects.

You need to remove the disallow line in your robots.txt file to let Google do its job and follow your redirect.
