Using CDN to deliver images

Hi Everyone!Recently I heard that using CDN to deliver image might be an SEO in terms of visual search since it is not on my server, and Google doesn`t support image canonicalization. I wonder if using CDN to deliver image can be a problem? Let me know your thought, Thanks,

  • Michael Martinez: Well, allocating no more than a minute to look at Cloudflare`s case studies, I did an image search on Google for pictures on FindLaw. They appear to be associating the images with the pages where they are embedded. I don`t think you would have a problem unless they are shared among multiple pages. Hard to say.
  • Jim Robinson: It`s not a problem. Every major publisher uses a CDN. Generally speaking, if you look at their photos in image search, they`re correctly attributed and linked to the pages on which they`re embedded.
