Stagging site over live site

My client is using a stagging site over his live site and he uses simple static to `trigger` changes made in the staging site. Now, I don`t have experience with simply static or static sites, but as per my understanding: any changes made on your stagging site will reflect (via simply static) in the live site as well, right? So I can do the same changes as I`d do for the original site but swapped with wp-admin.staging site`s URL?

  • Michael Martinez: Not necessarily. A staging site is used for development and the changes are usually pushed out to the live site after review and approval. So you could (theoretically) rebuild the staging site several times before deciding to push out the latest changes. You should coordinate any changes you want to make to the client`s staging server with their developer. They may not be ready to push out another version of the site, but they could be in the middle of an upgrade.
