Ranked no3 for the same keyword

  Warrington Carpet Cleaners: Hi Guys another Seo question for you.
  My website http://www.warringtoncarpetcleaners.co.uk is currently ranked no3 for the same keyword.
  The competitor at no 1 has not updated their website for 193 days, have few backlinks, however do have 10 google+ reviews.
  I was led to believe that updating your website on a regular basis helped.
  With regards to content they have three times the amount i have.
  Any suggestions how they can remain at no 1?

  Search engine doesn't trust any website to rank on its name from immediate effect, It takes time and as you said you have been brought on to 3rd position I assume your competitors must be ranking for this term from older than you . Second thing you have exact match domain so I would really suggest you to have good quality website first of all and don't think that this name is sufficient to rank for this term. If you create the quality on your website and people recommends you I don't think it wil take much time for you to rank

  Liz Bobeck: Reviews, there are great review software packages that will post the reviews direct to your website, creating new content and good SEO on pages on your site. All of these unique posts help you with your rankings, in addition to the few Google/FB/Yelp reviews. Get some customers to add a few reviews, it makes a difference in your rankings!

  We already put customer reviews (received via email) as comments on relevant pages via normal html.

This way, you can decide if you want to add them or not, based on the rating. They have new updates coming with more fields to use with the product so you can reference the product or service used, so its more direct targeting of the product or service used, which makes the email request more personal.
