Question regarding keyword density

Dumb SEO question: Regarding KW Density.We all know keeping a 2-3% of total word count as the Main/Focus KW density is ideal.Say my main keyword is "sick led screens that work" which is 5 words.And my article is 1000 words. So 2-3% is 20-30 words. So should I used my MKW- "sick led screens that work" 20-30 times(which is like 100-150 words), or 4-6 times(the KW`s total word count comes down to 20-30 if used 4-6 times) ?

Tim Brownson: From my understanding and with LSI understanding similar words/phrases are about the same thing anyway you can keep it natural, it really doesn`t.

If it sounds wordy and detracts from the user experience, then you`ve gone over the top.

I have a bunch of posts that are 4k words long where I barely use the FKW in the actual body of the post and they still rank highly.
