Low quality links, follow or nofollow?

So if Google automatically ignores links that are low quality in most cases... I do not need to disavow them in most cases BUT if I have links like a whatsapp link that are an actual page on the web, do I need to no follow it or it is considered a nofollow by google like tel and mailto links?

Josh Levenson: Are you trying to manipulate the search ranking of the whatsapp link? Did another party pay you to post the whatsappp link? If not, don`t worry about it. Google only cares that you`re messing with their SERPs which generate revenue.
