New Structured Data Testing Tool, new docs, oh my!

Did they hear me last week complaining about not supporting JSON-LD? :D Pierre Far originally shared:   New Structured Data Testing Tool, new docs, oh my!

These have been a long time coming:

http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2015/01/new-structured-data-testing-tool.html

1. A much improved brand new SDTT that better reflects how our indexing pipelines interpret the markup found on the page. The new UI makes it a lot clearer to understand what markup we`re finding on the page, and flagging more errors.

2. New docs, including a simplified spam policy. The old docs were getting... well, old. So we essentially rewrote them in a new clearer format with more code examples. Likewise for the spam policy, we`ve seen some questions about what`s spam or not, so we simplified it (in a nutshell: mark up as much as you can of the content already found on the page).

3. More support for JSON-LD. We`ve started supporting the JSON-LD syntax for a few search feature recently, and we`re continuing to expand our support. The new docs have more JSON-LD examples if you want to dabble.

Enjoy!? New Structured Data Testing Tool, documentation, and more googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com
