NAP consistency across the web

As you are meant to have NAP consistency across the web, will it damage your SEO if your Facebook page has a different company name to your website and Google+ page? A customer has a website and Google+ page XYZ Languages but a Facebook page XYZ Language School. (His Twitter account in his own personal name rather than his company name).

Should he change his Facebook page (if he can - he has over 100 likes) or is it ok to leave as is?

  • SEMXE: +John Pitcher ;it's always better to have consistent NAP throughout web... different names can confuse robots.. it might possible that Google can relate all these together to a single business by making use of other content tags like description, address, etc. but the best would be to have same NAP.
  • John Pitcher: Many thanks +SEMXE ;- the customer was advised up-front to have the same NAP but didn't really understand seo and created a different name for his Facebook. Is it worth his while trying to change it??
  • SEMXE: +John Pitcher ;if he has his own name on FB page and doesn't want to change that.. then advice him to create a new FB page with business name and link it as well to the website.
  • John Pitcher: +SEMXE ;No he has created a company Facebook page using a different company name to the one he has used on the website and on Google+ (initially, he was undecided which of 2 business names to use - XYZ Languages or XYZ Language School; he has used 1 for the website and Google+ and the other for Facebook).
  • SEMXE: +John Pitcher ;there isn't much difference between these two names... however having same name would be perfect.. why is he reluctant on not changing the FB name?
  • John Pitcher: Many thanks +SEMXE ;
