Mobile SERP vs desktop SERP

Question here: We`ve got a partner who rebranded about 6 months back. On desktop the SERP shows the new page title, but on mobile the SERP shows the old title. All references to the old brand have been removed from the HTML. Is mobile service a cached version of the site, or what? Any ideas what could be causing this?

  • Justin Mager: Most likely google hasn`t crawled to update mobile serp for the page yet
  • Scott Clark: Is the website verified in Google Search Console already?
  • Richard Hearne: Have you checked what you`re serving to googlebot mobile user agent?

Do you use a caching service like cloudflare?

Do you include structured data? What site name do you include there?

Is your site responsive, or do you run a dedicated mobile version?

Do you vary content based on user agent?

Just a few things to check.
