Indexed page with no content

Hey guys, we just created a new category on ecommerce store and have not yet any products or content yet but it`s indexable. Should we set a noindex tag, until the category is filled with products and content, otherwise google will scan the page and see nothing which may hurt its future performance. Thoughts?

  • Michael Martinez: If it`s only going to be a few days until the category is populated, I wouldn`t worry about it.

If you think it will be at least a week before products start appearing on the page, noindexing it might be okay. Empty category pages don`t hurt your SEO in any way, unless you have a lot of them. 1 shouldn`t matter much.
