  • Piyush Vasoya: HI,

  • Webhosting 4 Business: No it is not possible, you cannot rank for a keyword that has not been used in the correct format and is not included in a page or post article relevant to your site and the topic with a minumum of 300 words and the keyword is no more than 2.5% of the total word count.
  • Piyush Vasoya: +Webhosting 4 Business ;I don't agree with you at all......
I seen lots of website that don't include keyword still rank 1st on Google for that keyword.
  • Rob Maas: If you have a website with a theme that is very close to the keywords and you have backlinks with right anchor txt from websites with same kind of theme , it could be possible. (even 301 words and 2,4% won't score, if content is crap)  ;
  • Jim Munro: RE: "the keyword is no more than 2.5% of the total word count."

This is not a fact. Please express opinions as opinions, +Webhosting 4 Business ;:) Otherwise people might be misled into thinking that this statement had some validity.
  • Webhosting 4 Business: +Jim Munro Ok in my opinion and every single thing on SEO I have ever read, debated or talked about don't exceed 2.5% on any keyword or it may be classified as keyword stuffing.
  • Webhosting 4 Business: +Piyush Vasoya Are you refering to 1st position or 1st organic position?
  • Webhosting 4 Business: +Rob Maas I did say Relevant to the site and topic :D latest from Google rumour mill is closer to 1400 words on a relevant subject and well written pages/posts with human oversight. And have to admit I had never thought of the theme idea.
  • Rob Maas: Don't get Hang Up on silly figures. like 300 or 1400 words or 2.4 or 2.6 % density. That's Kindergarten SEO ! Just read  ;out your text loud and listen if it makes sense or sounds SPammy. That is all that there is to it.
  • Jim Munro: Our aim here is to offer advice that will stand the test of time.

We don't know of any magic bullets and we are not interested in "the latest from the Google rumour mill", although we discuss items of interest in our weekly SEO News Roundup.

I regret that this must sound unfriendly and if I could say it in any another way, I would, but if you want to offer advice here, please stick to what you know from personal experience and keep what you read elsewhere (and haven't proven for yourself) to discuss at that venue.

You are welcome here and all opinions are valid as long as they are expressed as opinions.
  • Piyush Vasoya: +Webhosting 4 Business ;Organic
  • Web Swift SEO: That doesn't make any sense!
  • Jim Munro: What does not make any sense, +Web Swift SEO ;? :)
  • Dave Elliott: 2.5%? Right......

Anyway to answer the question. Yes, it is possible. As mentioned by someone else you can do it by links and anchor text if you are careful. You can also do it by using similar/semantic keywords cause rankbrain is live. Basically things like if i rank for bike id expect to rank for cycles or bipedal transportation device.

One question you have to ask though is if you aren't using the words in the page then will your users find the information relevant and will they trust your site?

If i am looking for a takeaway in london and dont see the words "we deliver to london" then im pretty unlikely to order from them.
