I have done everything I could

Hey Guys, I took suggestions of yours for SEO for this page- https://pickyourtrail.com/packages/dubaiThis page was ranking in 11th position and came on 9th position for 3 days and then again gone down to 11th and still ranking in the same position. It`s been 2 months now and I have done everything I could have done here. Checking the competitor for "Dubai package", my page has got a higher word count, higher authority backlinks, and important info. This page is a transaction so content doesn`t matter as much for users but it is important for Google and that`s why everyone has used it.Now, please suggest what can I do here. I would love your valuable suggestions. My target is to rank in top 5.

  • Buth Main: How did you know the rank of yor page?higher word count, higher authority backlinks, and important info are not the ranking factors (I hate the term "ranking factor", well. search engines don`t use the stuff to rank pages).

  • Afifa Ansari: Buth Main by searching my keyword on google.

  • Buth Main: Afifa Ansari Google personalises its SERP. So it makes a little sense to google "keyword". What is about a quality of your traffic? How many leads does it generate?

  • Christine Hansen: I think you are selling Tour Packages - am I right? Last time a few pointed out that you overuse certain words. It annoys the h*** out of me having to read "Tour Packages" over and over again. I would definitely encourage you to rewrite the text and make it way more appealing to the customer. You need to find and use varied language in your page and tour titles (h1 + h2). And put in some pictures in the description. Missing: Description under each tour destination. Error on clicking on "more" (desktop). Too many "related blogs".

  • Stockbridge Truslow: In addition to Christine`s advice here - your package names aren`t consistent in a way to show what they actually represent and what differentiates them.

You have names like: = A Relaxing 5 Night Dubai Package= Fun Filled 6 Nights in Dubai including Dubai Parks and Expo= Dubai Extravaganza - Dubai Expo and Top Attractions

What actually differentiates these? The most obvious differentiator is that one is relaxing, one is fun, and one is an extravaganza. Does that men the relaxing one isn`t going to be fun? The words aren`t there as descriptor names that describe the experience - because there are others that don`t mention that type of descriptor at all. That means they are just words.

Then... what else makes them stand out? Two of these talk about the types of places you`ll be going - but the first one doesn`t. The first two talk about the number of nights so that might be important - but no... I guess not. The last one doesn`t mention how long (and even if I dig deeper I can`t see how many nights it is).

You`re selling specific things that have specific features - and to win here you need to communicate exactly what those things are and what those features are in a consistent and logical way. Without doing that - these are just words on a page.

So, as Ms. Hanson has pointed out - you`re focusing on spamming Google with keywords when you should be focusing on telling exactly what you have on the page so Google knows to show that page to people who want the things you`re describing.

You`re only doing VERY basic and dated SEO techniques here and doing nothing beyond the basics or that leverage things in the modern Google algo. And, you`re doing this very basic and outdated things fairly poorly, too.

  • Afifa Ansari: Stockbridge Truslow as far i know the keyword density should be 2% according to word count and here, it is word count. the difference in tour packages in only the pricing and number of days dear.. can`t do anything about the product.

can you plz checkout the off page of this page? I am pretty sure the issue is there and iam missing out something...

  • Stockbridge Truslow: There is no such thing as optimal keyword density. That`s a myth. It`s not real. Forget that you ever even heard the term.

I`m telling you what a problem is - and it`s a major one. And both Christine and I gave you that advice for free. It IS a major problem and if you won`t fix that, then why would we give you more of our free time for you to ignore that, too?

Since you`ve already come back here after getting a round of advice before - it honestly sounds like the only answer you`re going to be happy with is either, "Yeah, it`s exactly what you think it is" or better yet, "Yeah, It`s Google`s fault - you`re doing great!" Unfortunately, that`s not the case, here.

Take the above advice - get rid of the excess keywords, come up with consistent and useful naming conventions for the packages and THEN, once you`ve moved up to the first page - maybe someone will be happy to give you some more advanced advice to move up those last couple spots.

  • Afifa Ansari: Christine Hansen I basically carried out the whole analysis dear and counted each keyword use with number of times with 3 competitors on top.. it`s 1% of total word count as the word count is 6500 approx.

Now, the thing is the user doesn`t care about the content, they basically customize their itinerery here.

can you plz checkout the off page of this page? I am pretty sure the issue is there and iam missing out something...

  • Christine Hansen: Afifa Ansari You got SEO totally backward. I give up. Over and out.
