I am relocating and will need to change my address on GMB

So I am relocating and will need to change my address on GMB and directory listing etc. Articles I have read do not say whether google verification must be redone. 1. Will we need to go through Google verification process again? 2. Multiple directory listings cannot be accessed to update with new address since they were set up by Seo companies for us so we don`t have login details - how best do we deal with these? Thanks for your advice

  • Stockbridge Truslow: Group expertUsually, you don`t. Sometimes you do need to reverify. It depends on various factors (of which most are unknown to anyone except the algo that decides).

Change it on your site and your social media profiles and everywhere you DO have control first. If you still have some time - make a "We`re moving" announcement or post on your site that says what the new address will be a while ahead of time.

If you can - get some signage up right away and take some pictures and upload them to the GMB profile before you change the address too. This can help signal that you`re in that new location and the signage can help verify that too.

Then - when you update your GMB profile - there will be other signals out there (the updated addresses at all the main spots and maybe your announcement that warned of the change well in advance) and that will make Google less likely to want to reverify.
