  Kath J P Quisumbing: Ben Adler yes, I`m using wordpress. I understand about that but since homepage is usually titled Home, do you still put title in the text editor area and tag it as h1? Like if I have an e-commerce website selling Dog Skin Care and my homepage displays the products. Should I put Dog Skin Care Before the descriptions and the products?

  Michał Borzyszkowski: Ben Adler depends of theme. Most don`t have H1 on homepage (in my experience). And you wouldn`t belive how many webmasters change standard h1 tag on pages to something else (H2, p, span)

  I have houndreds of confirmed cases of it`s working. Ofcourse it will not make you rank magically There is a lot more to do to rank a page in top 10.

  Stockbridge Truslow: Group expertTechnically, the home page h1 would want to be your company name because that is, after all, what the site is about. A template will typically use your site name rather than your home page name - but that`s not always the case. And the SEO plugins often pick up your static home page title for the page title rather than the site name, too.
