Dumb SEO Questions

How should the SEO Title, focus keyword, and meta description line up?

How should the SEO Title, focus keyword, and meta description line up? I`m having difficulty getting them in sync. For example, Boyhood Movie Review. The focus keywords are Boyhood and Review, but I wouldn`t say that in the meta description, unless I wanted to sound completely robotic. "This is a Boyhood Review" rather than "A review of the award winning Boyhood..." My SEO check knocks me for not having the focus keywords in the meta description, or the article (because not once do I say review in the text).

Then there`s the SEO Title. I could say "Boyhood Review, " though I`d much rather say something like "Boyhood Movie Review."

So, if my SEO Title, Focus Keyword and meta description are out of sync, will that truly effect my SEO? ?

Personally I don't use them because it can lead to keyword stuffing. To me, if you use those tools the language can become a little unnatural to read. Therefore I don't use them.

The meta description isn't used for ranking. What does matter for the meta description is the click trough rate. The title tag is used for ranking and it also impacts your CTR, like +Alistair Lattimore ;already said.

I recommend visiting our sister community SEO News. I shared an article that looks at the CTR for the title tag:
