How can I get my site to be ranked higher in other countries?

I own a website scrap metal prices and auctions http://scrapmetalpricesandauctions.com The site has been around since 2008. It is a USA based website with servers based in the USA. Yet Google ranks my site very high in Canada google.ca yet in the USA its ranked very low. I do have a page on my site for Canadian metal prices but I also have a page for US prices. How can I get my site to be ranked higher on google.com vs google.ca

Nebojsa Djukic: Hi Damon! I see you on the first position in Google.ca for "Scrap Metal Prices". In Google.com you're no1 for "Scrap Metal Prices and Auctions" ;and in the top 20 for ""Scrap Metal Prices".

Simply, there are more competitors in Google.com than in Canadian version of the search engine, thus it's harder to be on the first page. ;

Canada is mentioned on a few hundred of your pages, maybe that could be a good reason for Google to rank it well in Google.ca

You should fix onsite issues and proceed with link building. The website is old and authoritative, you'll manage to reach the top 10.
