Google thinks the old URLs are still there

Several months ago, I deleted my Wordpress website and went back to my asp NET site. Google thinks the Wordpress urls are still there (hundreds). I’m currently redirecting all outdated links to my default url.
This question begins at 00:10:15 into the clip. Did this video clip play correctly? Watch this question on YouTube commencing at 00:10:15

  • SK Abdullah Bin Islam: Hi! If the old content relevant to the new one. I would use the 301 or 302 redirections, otherwise use the 410 redirection (content deleted) for old URLs. (410 should naturally get the page to deindex from Google faster).
