  • Ammon Johns: Correct use of schema will help in many ways, such as helping the engine to disambiguate and clearly identify what is being discussed and how it connects to other things, and in allowing them to extract facts for special display in additional areas of the SERP such as knowledge panels, etc.

    Incorrect use of schema on the other hand bloats the page with additional code, and lowers the trust values of the site.
