Can not using the native Wordpress menu hurt the SEO?

Hello, I’m the new girl! I think this could be the right group to ask this question! Can not using the native Wordpress menu on the website hurt the SEO?Here is the thing: I have a plugin that allows me much more flexibility in styling my menus, but they are not using the native WP primary menu for that.Just imitating the menu look with the custom modules where you can insert any link you want. So, it’s not an UX issue because, user cannot tell the difference. But I wonder if it makes the difference for the website crawlers?

  • Tom Gooden: No, it will not hurt.
  • Irina Rinkovec: Tom Gooden Thank you for answering!
  • Jeff Ferguson: As Tom said, you should be fine. When it comes to menus, as long as you don’t do anything weird, like make them out of Flash, or entirely made of images or something similar, you should be fine. At the end of the day, menus are really just links to Google, so make sure you treat them as such and you should be fine.
  • Irina Rinkovec: Jeff Ferguson Thank you so much for a detailed answer! This helps
