Backlinks Distribution?

I`ve read about anchor text variation and understand the different anchor text backlinks I should build to my site. Now My site has a certain setup: .Blog (articles) .Homepage .Moneypages: (Cities with internal link to my school pages) .-Sub Money pages (info about the schools) Can I find any article about how the backlinks should divide over my pages? I`m sure X% should go to Home, X% to my articles and X% to my money pages.

  • Alan Bleiweiss: No. Your "I`m sure" is incorrect. If you attempt to fixate on granular efforts that translate into a specific percentage of links to each type of page, you are setting yourself up for trouble. The internet is a natural Eco-system. The moment you create a site that has an artificial pattern to it, that site becomes suspect. The more sites following that pattern, the more obvious the artificial pattern becomes. The more obvious an artificial pattern, the more likely Google`s systems will mathematically laugh in your face. So. What to do. Work to ensure you have the highest quality links possible. Across a full diversity of link types and sources that are all relevant and trustworthy. When you do that, where it does matter to earn links to internal content, if you force links to have to always point to a URL you think you should get those pointed to, you`re going to be screwed, so have a general desire to get links to the most important pages. Just don`t be obnoxious about trying to force it.
  • Francois-Pierre Marcil: Value, provide value. Stop worrying where the links are, start worrying if you don`t get any!
