A challenge we face with organic traffic

Hello everyone, Wondering if I could get some thoughts on a challenge we face with organic traffic. We`re a fashion and interior multi brand and a lot of our brands are small and do not have great search volume. Another challenge is that larger retailers who stock the same brands will have a high search rank.Thinking about the business as a whole or within specific brands (examples include Stussy and Mina Perhonen) how would you work around these limitations? All thoughts and suggestions most welcomed!

  • Ethan Lazuk: I’d make your product page descriptions as detailed/helpful as possible. Aside from brand keywords, I might look for non-brand keywords that explain the product or attributes of the product. (Ex: designer cotton men’s shirt size small.) If the site organization is logical, people could also find similar products without brand awareness. You could also write some really great blog posts or guides about the products and link to the product pages internally. People may find your post looking for information and then learn about your products that way, and any backlinks to the blog/guide could transfer pagerank to your product pages. Just a few ideas.
  • Matthew Tatem: Product feeds to Google Products so you can compete
