YOUR ANSWERS

Selected answers from the Dumb SEO Questions Facebook & G+ community.

  • David Gossage: Sorry no. If they were 301`d then all their authority has been transferred to the destination pages. It will be a challenge to get the pages indexed and when you do they will be starting from scratch

  • Richard Hearne: David Gossage I think the best answer here is "it depends". Very hard to answer in absolutes here IMO.

  • Stockbridge Truslow: In theory, the answer is: Eventually.

But if links to those old pages were updated or removed, then no.

And, of course, other things have and will be changing on the site so things are still not all equal as before - so something different will happen as well.

In general, though, if you keep applying the same ongoing strategy to them as you did before, then that same strategy should eventually bring similar results.

  • Natalia Tomchyshyn: Thanks a lot.

  • Andras Radics: if you dont ask anything only that`s dumb

  • Josh Levenson: Are the redirects still in place? You can`t publish under the same slugs if your redirects are still live.

  • Natalia Tomchyshyn: Yep, they`re still live.
