Site Language and SEO Ranking

Hi there, i have a question.

Currently my website is using Wordpress in Malay language and currently the website is targeted for Malay speaking visitor. It`s doing very well at 1st or 2nd ranking for Google Malaysia (www.google.com.my).

My question is, can I change the whole website language from Malay to English without affecting the ranking or SEO?

If possible, should I redirect the old URL to the new pages?
