Should I create 3 different URL for all 3 languages?

Hello guys,

In my website when you open, it will ask you first for language selection, then you can enter in website. Currently same URL for all three languages.

Should I need to create 3 different URL for all 3 languages. Eg domain.com/ca , domain.com/fr , domain.com/jp ?

Should we need to add different 3 different Meta title and description for 3 different language website. Or Google will automatically consider ?

  • Walid Al-Yousef: You do have.

And I prefer you create 3 diff sub-domains. ca.domain.com / fr.domain.com etc... each one will have it is own Meta Tags values.
  • Dave Elliott: Don't use sub domains! Folders are a lot better for SEO. Basically, if you use subdomains google treats them as entirely separate websites. If however, you use folders then links for each folder will help rank the site as a whole.

As for the original question. Yes, you should have a different url for each language. This will mean that you can optimise the French page for the French term and the Japanese page for the Japanese term. It will also mean you can take advantage of any regional differences. e.g. in the USA Pants are what we in the UK call Trousers etc.
  • Amit Kumar: As +Dave Elliott ;said choose 3 different urls for each language and create title & meta tags accordingly. Make sure use <meta name="language" content="spanish"> to easily index in your target country.
