Search engine website has its search results turned into urls

Seen this before and again today - where a `search engine` website has its search results turned into urls and those urls have been indexed and come up as backlinks... to those on the results page...

Neil Cheesman: No, not remarkable, I saw it some time ago... and then stumbled across it today when I was wondering how a particular website was ranking on page 1 - when I looked at the backlinks there were a couple of these... #postisjustforinfo - not sure how long these type of links last...
Neil Cheesman: and it does do exactly that.. search and create a url that can then be indexed... (not sure of the quality of the backlink)
