Publishing the same article to multiple websites

In regards to unique content, if a writer usually writes an article, publishes it on her website then pitches the same exact article to be published on a few other websites, should the text be unique for each of those submissions? Or could there be same content across different websites? Thanks

  • Christine Hansen: Usually, you don`t publish articles on your own site and then sell it. In other words, if you want to sell an article, it can only get published in one place. I`d make a link to the articles I have sold - Perhaps with a little description.
  • Morena Fiore-Kirby: Christine Hansen it`s not me the author so I don`t know the details but I will double check with her thanks
  • David Matson: What are you trying to accomplish here? If you are just trying to make money from writing words, then this still probably isn`t the best way to do it. But that`s not an SEO question. If there is an SEO strategy, then, again, this almost certainly is not the best way to do it, but the correct strategy depends on your goals for this content.
  • Morena Fiore-Kirby: David Matson hi, I`m not the author, I`m enquiring on behalf of a writer who would write an article and submit it to different online magazines. My worry was about content not being unique if published on her site as well others
  • Tim Capper: If you pitched the same content - they would probably do a quick check and see its already published. If they did publish without checking - then they will probably realise it was not unique when Google filters theirs out.Either way its a bad way to build a reputation
  • Morena Fiore-Kirby: Tim Capper thank you. I will advise my client! I did suggest this but said I would double check and report back!
