Local Business Schema

Should local business schema be placed into the footer of a multi-location business website?  The website represents the brand and has separate pages for each location.  These pages are marked up with the appropriate schema relevant for that particular location.  However, we were thinking of placing marked up schema in the footer.  It currently has the NAPs for the locations but these are not marked up.

Will this confuse or help google?

  • Tim Capper: I would stick with the schema on location pages,

    For the main site, I would not markup the locations >> rather just the main brand name as organisation ;

    Then you create a structure that Google understands.  ;I have seen a lot of misunderstanding from Google when a person searches for 1 business but another business page is shown in the KP, because of multiple locations in the footer
  • PromozSEO: Agree with +Tim Capper. Use Schema structured data to markup the NAP of the location pages not the home page. A multi-location business should not have structured  ;data markedup NAP info at the footer of all the pages.
  • Suresh Kumar: Use Schema Structured Data to all the location pages. It's easier to specify every location of your business.
  • Julius Park: Thanks!
