I`m marking up an article on my website with article markup

I`m finally getting around to adding markup to my sites (changed platforms in July). So, although I know the importance of it, this is the first I`ve manually worked with it.When I markup the article body, is it recommended to mark up the entire thing if it`s long? That seems like a big chunk of JSON-LD code I`m sticking in my header. Or is that normal? Additionally- I`m marking up an article on my website with article markup- is this incorrect if it`s not a news or magazine article? Thanks!

  • David Morgan: What you can do is have it retrieved also from another source.
  • David Morgan: How big of a site are we talking by chance?
  • Rajam Roose: It`s a pretty small site but I`m looking at how I can mark up the articles I`ve written. Would another source provide a smaller chunk of code than the GSC? If so, what do you recommend?
  • David Morgan: I wish I had a good idea.
  • Suraj Gadage: I suggest using Google Tag Manager to implement your schema tags. This way you don`t have to worry about the big chunk of a code.
