I am in the downward phase with 400 visitors/month

Good morning all !I hope you are well. I have an e-commerce site that runs quite well (5 figures / month), however on the SEO side, I am in the downward phase with 400 visitors / month, and I have a main competitor who has 1, 500 / month. To put it simply, it is located on all the keywords concerning the shop in first position and I am also on all these words but in second place. If someone can give me his outside opinion for 2-3 tips it would be very nice :) Have a nice day everyone!

  • Rienzi Mosqueda: audit analyze test
  • Lolo Shot: which one, dareboost ?
  • Shane Lowry: Lolo Shot Ubersuggest is quite good.
  • Shane Lowry: Is your content better than theirs? Do you have good meta description tags with cta?
  • Lolo Shot: it`s shop of shoes, so the content is quite similar
  • Michael Martinez: "and I have a main competitor who has 1, 500 / month."

Unless you have direct access to the competitor`s analytics data you don`t know how much traffic they have. You cannot trust the traffic estimates provided by 3rd-party SEO tools.

That said, a *LOT* of Websites have lost traffic over the past 1-2 months.

If your Google Search Console and Bing Toolbox reports show that your average rankings are about the same as before you started losing traffic, there won`t be much that SEO can do for you.
  • Jef Van Gool: Research the 3 basic SEO ingredients:

    1 tech (speed/responsive/schema/internal links etc)

    2. Onpage (keyword in title, H1/2/3, meta, p, etc)

3 links (good mix of quality links to the pages that need it or via internal linking send the linkjuice)
  • Lolo Shot: already done
  • Richard Hearne: Lolo Shot and?
  • Kolleen Shallcross: If most things are equal to your competitor, I`d say you need some content strategy. Is it a local business or national?
  • Lolo Shot: national
  • Kolleen Shallcross: It’s a big difference from local to national. Without seeing your site or your competition it’s hard to tell where the problem can be.
  • Lolo Shot: Kolleen Shallcross do you want to see it in PV ?
  • William Jones: You need a manual audit
    Then keyword gap analysis
    Then a backlink analysis
    Then competition analysis
Then find out if your competition is using spammy GMB tactics

    And thats just for starts....
