• Chase Reiner: We have a blog page full of blog posts that have preview text of the articles that we are linking to, how should we go about not creating duplicate text?
• Juchel De Leon: you should create an excerpt for those blog post preview! that is much better I guess, you have the chance to grab your audience interest!
:)
• Dave Elliott: shouldn't be an issue to be honest. Your blog articles will have a lot more text than just the previews and presuming you have 5/6 previews on the page in question than there will be enough variation between that and the article pages for it too not cannibalise keywords, especially if the preview page changes fairly regualrly(i.e you blog often)

• Jon Shayler: I'd go with an excerpt to be fair that's similar but not the same. It's a good way it hook your reader into clicking into the main article.
• Chase Reiner: All great suggestions, the only problem is that the clients website shows the entire text of their articles on the preview blog post page
• Dave Elliott: Why would they do that? Id try and tell the client that it is silly (using more diplomatic language) and if they are insistent then id meta no index the page.
• Jon Shayler: Can the setting in the cms (assuming there using one?) not be changed to show only the except, I know you can in Wordpress?
• Ryan Cramer: Try minimizing the preview length if it is causing issues - it has more to do with percentages. If you have the ability/skill, include the preview in blockquote/cite tags. Example
....previe text
