Domain Redirectio

I have my main site on a .net domain and the .com is redirected to the .net site. I can see the value in that, but I found out that I also have the .info domain name and I did set up a redirect to the about page.

I am struggling founding out what is best for the .info domain.

1. Should I just keep it with redirect to the about page.
2. Should I set ut a new site with a lot of (info)rmation about the main site.
3. Just drop it (No value)
Or?

Please advice!

Morten.

  • ?ukasz Rogala: I would go with number 2 option.
  • PromozSEO: Businesses used to take few similar domain names and different TLDs (ccTLD & gTLD) of their main domain and redirect (301) them to their main domain. This is a natural thing used for taking people to the main site who are misspelling it on browser address bar (generally). There is no problem.

What you must think that, the person who is (miss-)typing the main-site.info actually wants to go to the home page of ;main-site.net. So I believe that it would be better if you redirect your ;main-site.info to the ;main-site.net and not to the /about page.

I assumed that your intention is similar and the other domains (main-site.info and ;main-site.com) didn't have any past and are not shady.

Ignore this if I misunderstood the question.
