Change in ranking from a nofollow link

Has anyone observed a change in ranking when you built a nofollow link for a web page on a niche-specific website that was good?I mean did the focus keyword`s rankings changed?

Tim Capper: Not necessarily - because you said they were nofollow.I would be looking at more internal linking structure and using your anchor text here to influence - not your external links
Kunjal Chawhan: Tim Capper No I meant that if in a 3rd party website let`s a site where I am contributing a guest post. Of its a good site, aligned to niche and if I`m building nofollow linkdin such websites so does such links help my website with ranking improvement? I know nofollow links don`t pass link juice that`s why I`m asking this question to see if things have changed. Whether they are helping in ranking improvement or getting more organic visibility
