What`s your experience with the new TLD`s in terms of ranking?

Hey guys, what`s your experience with the new TLD`s in terms of ranking? Google says, they are treated like every other domain (.com, .net, etc.). My own experince is, that this is not true. I tried to rank a few times with a new TLD like .watch etc. and it just doesn`t work or it`s super-slow and never reaches good positions. Even if you have the best content ever on it. I`m curious how do you guys get along with the new TLD`s?
