Mark Traphagen: I think if you follow sound SEO strategic practices you should never need to "address" updates. Occasionally an update might open new opportunities (like if they increase featured snippets or introduce new schema they use), but for the most part updates are aimed at rewarding things we ought to be doing already.
Michael Martinez: My partner and I don`t worry about updates. We keep our clients informed of confirmed updates. We also occasionally see some shifts in search results that might indicate something changed on the search engine sides, but we don`t fall into some kind of "react to the update" mode. We use the same basic strategies we always have: create good content and earn links. We also review our site structures and design periodically, making changes as we feel they are needed.
