Website that bounces from the top of page 1 to page 4

  Justen Hong: I have a website that bounces from the top of page 1 to page 4 or 5 on a daily basis. Has anyone ever dealt with or even seen this before? Anyone have any reason why this might be happening?

  web yaz?l?m: some one has might be made anti-seo. which means they send bot-robot visitors.lets say ; if your site get daily 1000 visitors and if someone send 5000 visitors for couple days and then stop sending bot visitors google will notice it theres spam goes around so they will put your site down.to understand it chechk your google analytics see daily visitors info and chechk suspicious visitors track. hope answer your questions

  Justen Hong: No suspicious spikes in traffic and analytics looks normal. ; I've seen sites bounce between a couple positions, but never something like this. It literally goes from top of page 1 to bottom of page 4 daily.

  web yaz?l?m: if your traffic is normal,that means good.for going up and down means can be for other listing sites has affilate & adwords plus traffic or they had spam traffic.

  Suraj Gadage: +Justen Hong this is happening with other websites as well. We have a client (from software industry) whose ranking for a prominent keyword (CPC $25) was fluctuating almost on an hourly basis from position 9 - 15. It continued for almost two months. We are now at position 13.
  
  We monitored this change very carefully and observed two important things.
  
  1. Google was trying to decide whether to display business results or informative results or both for the given query. At last a year old blog post with no backlinks started ranking on position 10 for the same term.
  
  2. Google was looking at specific competitors (two in our case; ranking on position 7 and 10) who did exact match link building and eventually pushed them to page 3.
