Perry Bernard: What matters is that the address details match. Helpful if you also implement Organization Schema that states the address field to match. I would just add your map embed on the contact page. Ironically, Google Maps embeds load slow and get scored low in pagespeed insights, so embedding in footer would have that effect on all pages.
Tim Capper: The embed map makes more sense in the contact page - buts thats more of a design choice.What I would have through (depending on the type of business) is a Find Us link that is linked to GMB CID - which is also included within the localBusiness schema.Very handy for people to have a quick look where you are located.
