Hi1. If due to space limitations I remove some keywords off my mobile version... will I "lose" them?
2. If crawled by the desktop bot I will not need to worry about number 1?

Michael Martinez: If your site is now being indexed by the mobile-crawler it will only index what that crawler finds. Anything that is only shown to desktop users won`t be indexed.

Michael Martinez: Nathan Nikolay Gaidy I don`t think there is any way to do that. Maybe someone else in the group knows of some esoteric trick but even if they do, I would not count on it lasting for long.
Google wants everyone to create mobile-friendly content for its index. That`s the world we live in, now.
Ammon Johns: Google were pretty vocal about moving to a `mobile first` indexing methodology. They have good reason. In much of the world, smartphone and mobile access is the main and most common Internet usage, and PCs are pretty much only for either the unusually rich, or the really hardcore gamers. Around half of all internet users are not choosing to use mobile, but actually ONLY have mobile access to the internet.
Because of this, Google prefer sites that will work reliably on all devices, and if something is purely for desktop users, it may very well rank a little lower. This means that the primary version you can expect your site to be ranked by is the mobile version, especially if it is a bit leaner, or has less content.
