Mobile search ranking and desktop search ranking

Hey Guys, Why is there a huge difference in some sites mobile ranking and desktop search rankings ? One of the site I currently look after has Postion 12 on Mobile and 35 on Desktop

  • Nathan Veenstra: Because there are mobile results with different metrics than the desktop results. 😇 The mobile version could be faster than the desktop site, or the competitors’ mobile sites could be slower. Others can have less content on their mobile version, making them rank lower. There’s not an easy answer Prajwal. Especially since we don’t have the details. Just a question without url, keywords and even location (because google.nl is different from google.com) is not enough. 😉
