  Skye Lans: Can you please discuss link juice as I'm confused when it comes to the structure of a website. Does the standard navigation on most sites that have the about / contact / and other pages cause link juice to be reduced as some of the juice goes to these pages? I've read you shouldn't no follow the terms / privacy page but aren't you loosing juice with a link to these on every page? To me it would make more sense to keep a follow to the terms / privacy on the homepage but no follow the rest of the pages. Any advise is appreciated, thanks.

  Jim Munro: I am not an expert, Skye, but here is a dummy's opinion. Many will disagree with it.
  
  You cannot save link value, you can only spend it. Spending link value costs you nothing because, if you do not use it, no additional value is accumulated. Each step below your site root reduces value, regardless of any action you choose to carry out, i.e. you cannot make a downlevel page stronger by linking to other downlevel pages less.
  
  You should not nofollow internal links for another reason altogether. Allowing googlebot free rein to crawl your site at will is the optimal path.
