Can Google Outsell Amazon and eBay?

15 May 2015 - There`s so much about the language of this article that I want to comment on, but that`s not really the point of the article.

Bottom line: Paid advertisers (some) will get a buy button next to their paid ad. "Shop on Google" button sends you to Google product page to complete purchase. Retailer of sponsored ad fulfills purchase order (like Macys or Nordstrom or whatever.) Oh, and "for your convenience", you can still opt in to give the retailer your personal information to get on their mailing list, and Google will retain your credit card information to store for you for future purchases (at your discretion). Isn`t that nice of them?

Basically, this is all happening on mobile--not desktop. I don`t know why they chose that, but it would have been a worthless endeavor for them to go desktop anyway, since 7 out of 10 end users (at least on our side of the pond) use AdBlock. I can`t remember the last time I saw an ad. I don`t even see ads on Facebook because I use SocialFixer (except when I turn it off to test for my clients.)? Michelle Dear   Sorry for being so US-centric with Macy`s and Nordstrom. I was knocking my brain trying to think of a UK retailer. Literally JUST thought of Harrods. It`s been awhile since I`ve been there, guys. Late 70s. :)? Can Google Outsell Amazon and eBay? - WSJ
